GW2 lvl 40 Dungeon Caudecus's Manor Story Mode

Caudecus's Manor is a low difficulty dungeon in GW2. Beginners can experience the game, and get familiar with corporation with other professions by exploring this dungeon.

Dungeon strategy

 

Collect rumor—meet Logan and other NPC. Always select the third option.

 

-Prototype Golem

 

This is the hardest boss in this dungeon.

 

Its skills are: Rocket attack, Spinning flame attack, and Pull

 

The Rocket deals around 2,000 damage a time. One rocket attack will probably put you in half health; two or more will put you in the downed state. The Rocket attack is AOE, so don’t stand too close with your allies. Or all of you will die.

 

Strategy: equip with range weapons and stand at the location as in the picture. You can easily dodge the rocket attacks as they will fly over your head.

 

 

Pick items, open the chest (#1) and done

 

-Door Guard

 

Pull Logan to him and start fighting with him. He has 2 blade skills with the highest instant damage. Kite him with your ranged weapons. It’s a good way to practice kiting.

 

-Ambush

 

Run to the desk. After the trigger, roll over to the outside of the door. Then you can AOE the mobs which rush to you. You can open the chest (#2) and leave.

 

-Basement

 

There’s nothing to be mentioned here. Just AOE them. There’s a switch on the wall where Uzolan dies. It can open a hidden passage behind the shelf.

 

-Another Door Guard

 

Kite him with ranged weapons. He can bind you and poison you. You may be stacked with poison for 1 minute if you get hit for too many times. You cannot regenerate life and just surrender if you don’t have any skills available.

 

-Drunk Sigfast

 

This boss is not threatening. Just kill them with AOE. You will see golden and silver mobs. Kill the silver mob first and then the golden one. Wake him up by splashing water on him. Then a chest (#3) will show up.

 

-Group of Hunting Dogs

 

They may push you down. AOE them with stability skills.

 

-Tree House

 

There are 7 normal mob and 3 silver mobs. AE them down. There are a lot of snipers in this dungeon. Their skills can deal higher damage to moving targets. If you are targeted in a red circle, don’t move. It will deal 1,000 damage to you. However, if you run, it will deal 3,000 damage. If you want to dodge, hide behind the rocks. Or you can evade while rolling to see if you are lucky or not. After kill all the mobs, free the big cat in the cage. And chest (#4) will show up again.

 

-FINAL BOSS

 

The boss himself is not threatening at all. Kill 3 silver mobs near him first. The silver mobs deal high damage especially at the beginning of the fight. They only need 1 second to kill the high defense profession.

 

Strategy: melee profession baits the boss and once the boss attacks, roll over immediately. It can dodge 70% burst damage. Once you have full HP, you only have to attack for several times to kill the boss.

 

Conclusion:

 

This is a fun easy dungeon. The reward players get from this dungeon is based on their character level. Players can get 70% of the total experience (for lvl 80, 177,800 experience, 254,000 needed for upgrading), 26 silver. Veteran teams only need 12 minutes to finish the dungeon. Players can get 50 silver on average by selling items to NPC. So they can earn more than 2 gold in one hour. If you are not professional merchant, that would be the fastest and most reliable way to earn money.

 

TIME IS SILVER!

 

Chest will drop items according to character level. Lvl 80 character will only get lvl 74-80 items. Mobs may seldom drop lvl 40 items. You will get bag after fighting with the boss for 4 hours (the below items are all green. I left the yellow ones in trade post). The green items are cheap; you can just put them in the forge. This is the fastest way to level up. Starting from lvl 40, you can upgrade to lvl 80 in 2 days if you work hard.
